| BIGGEST CAREER BREAK: |
Getting invited to sing on the Grand Ole Opry as a guest

in the business, including some label acts, wanting to play the Opry,
it was, indeed, an honor. |

BACKGROUND
|
| EDUCATION: |
Attended high school in Olathe, Kansas and some college
where I took some extra classes on music education. |
| PREVIOUS JOBS: |
Singing waiter, dance instructor and roadie. |
| AWARDS: |
Most recently, dance, Tae Kwon Do awards, stuff like
that. I did win a scholarship from Universal Talent in Orlando, Florida
and I won state vocal awards which afforded me the opportunity to
go to Carnegie Hall in New York. But that was in 1990. |
| HOBBIES: |
Reading, singing, writing, acting, shopping and playing
with Chief. |
| MUSIC PERFORMERS/GREATEST
INFLUENCES: |
I like the way Sawyer Brown performs. They just go for
it! I admire Garth, the way he handles his business and George Jones
for the heart he has when he sings. |
| NON-MUSIC INFLUENCES: |
I'd have to say my parents. They are SO cool! |
| GREATEST CAREER THRILL: |
I'd have to go back to the Opry guest appearance with
Porter Wagoner. |

|
AND MORE...
|
| I CONSIDER MY GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT
TO BE... |
Just to be able to perform while there are
so many people out of work. I've been very fortunate to do what I
love to do and make a living at it.
|
| I CONSIDER MY GREATEST CAREER ACHIEVEMENT
TO BE... |
I hope that I haven't achieved it, yet. But
just you wait! It's gonna happen!
|
| THE PERSON I WOULD LIKE TO CUT A DUET
WITH... |
On a MAJOR label, with my wife, Tamra.
|
| MY MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT WAS... |
I was opening for the Nitty Gritty Dirt band
before a hometown crowd. I'd gotten an encore and some of the fans
were offering me flowers from the edge of the stage. As I was going
to receive them - because of the blinding spotlight - I wasn't able
to determine where the monitors and stage equipment was. I ended up
crashing right through a monitor with a big, loud BOOM! That was REALLY
embarrassing!
|
| THE FUNNIEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED
TO ME ON STAGE IS... |
Remembering my previous episode, after the
band and I had gone back to Branson to perform, they had placed these
big, orange pylons all around the stage so I wouldn't fall into anything!
|
| THE MOST TOUCHING THING A FAN HAS EVER
DONE WAS... |
My fans are ALL sooo wonderful. I can't choose
one incident. They've all been there for me and I don't take that
for granted!
|
| MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE IS... |
The stupidity of some drivers! I wish they'd
just get off the road!
|
| MY BIGGEST CHARACTER FLAW IS... |
What exactly is a "character flaw"?
|
| SECRETLY, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO... |
Tear that dang pesky tag off the mattresses!
Or maybe just be able to walk into a major record label's office and
they'd sign me up!
|
| A HABIT I'D MOST LIKE TO BREAK... |
I watch too much television. I can't help it.
It's those doggone talk shows and cop shows!
|
| THE QUESTION I LEAST WANT TO HEAR IN AN
INTERVIEW... |
"What would you be doing if you weren't singing?"
