BIGGEST CAREER BREAK: Getting invited to sing on the Grand Ole Opry as a guest on Porter Wagoner's portion. He was very complimentary. With so many in the business, including some label acts, wanting to play the Opry, it was, indeed, an honor.

BACKGROUND
EDUCATION: Attended high school in Olathe, Kansas and some college where I took some extra classes on music education.
PREVIOUS JOBS: Singing waiter, dance instructor and roadie.
AWARDS: Most recently, dance, Tae Kwon Do awards, stuff like that. I did win a scholarship from Universal Talent in Orlando, Florida and I won state vocal awards which afforded me the opportunity to go to Carnegie Hall in New York. But that was in 1990.
HOBBIES: Reading, singing, writing, acting, shopping and playing with Chief.
MUSIC PERFORMERS/GREATEST INFLUENCES: I like the way Sawyer Brown performs. They just go for it! I admire Garth, the way he handles his business and George Jones for the heart he has when he sings.
NON-MUSIC INFLUENCES: I'd have to say my parents. They are SO cool!
GREATEST CAREER THRILL: I'd have to go back to the Opry guest appearance with Porter Wagoner.

FAVORITES
FOOD: I'm a meat and potatoes guy!
BOOKS: Any music oriented books. You just can never know too much.
MOVIE: "Rocky" One through Fifteen or something like that. All kinds of action movies. I love them!
COMEDIAN: Eddie Murphy

SPORTS TO WATCH: Football
SPORTS TEAM: Kansas City Chiefs
VACATION SPOT: The Caribbean or Las Vegas, Nevada

AND MORE...
I CONSIDER MY GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT TO BE...
Just to be able to perform while there are so many people out of work. I've been very fortunate to do what I love to do and make a living at it.

I CONSIDER MY GREATEST CAREER ACHIEVEMENT TO BE...
I hope that I haven't achieved it, yet. But just you wait! It's gonna happen!

THE PERSON I WOULD LIKE TO CUT A DUET WITH...
On a MAJOR label, with my wife, Tamra.

MY MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT WAS...
I was opening for the Nitty Gritty Dirt band before a hometown crowd. I'd gotten an encore and some of the fans were offering me flowers from the edge of the stage. As I was going to receive them - because of the blinding spotlight - I wasn't able to determine where the monitors and stage equipment was. I ended up crashing right through a monitor with a big, loud BOOM! That was REALLY embarrassing!

THE FUNNIEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME ON STAGE IS...
Remembering my previous episode, after the band and I had gone back to Branson to perform, they had placed these big, orange pylons all around the stage so I wouldn't fall into anything!

THE MOST TOUCHING THING A FAN HAS EVER DONE WAS...
My fans are ALL sooo wonderful. I can't choose one incident. They've all been there for me and I don't take that for granted!

MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE IS...
The stupidity of some drivers! I wish they'd just get off the road!

MY BIGGEST CHARACTER FLAW IS...
What exactly is a "character flaw"?

SECRETLY, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO...
Tear that dang pesky tag off the mattresses! Or maybe just be able to walk into a major record label's office and they'd sign me up!

A HABIT I'D MOST LIKE TO BREAK...
I watch too much television. I can't help it. It's those doggone talk shows and cop shows!

THE QUESTION I LEAST WANT TO HEAR IN AN INTERVIEW...
"What would you be doing if you weren't singing?"
